Episode 102: It’s Been Awhile

Football has returned, which means Matt, Will, Brandon, and Chase are back behind the microphones for another season of arguing about the most reasonable and emotionally stable division in football: the NFC East. After an offseason full of free-agent signings, draft picks, coaching changes, roster shakeups, and the usual amount of NFC East optimism, the guys reconvene to figure out where the Eagles, Commanders, Giants, and Cowboys actually stand heading into the 2026 season. The episode kicks off with an offseason review, as each host breaks down his team’s — the addition, draft pick, or decision that has him most excited heading into Week 1. Whether it was a questionable signing, a player who walked out the door, a draft decision, or simply something the front office failed to address, nobody gets through the offseason unscathed. Then it’s time to put predictions on the record. Matt, Will, Brandon, and Chase give their for their teams and explain how they think the NFC East will shake out. Who wins the division? Who grabs a Wild Card spot? Who disappoints? And, most importantly, which host is going to spend the next four months pretending he never made his preseason prediction? Finally, the guys turn their attention to Week 1, where the NFL schedule wastes absolutely no time giving Six Sundays two NFC East rivalry games. The Washington Commanders travel to Philadelphia to face the Eagles in a matchup that immediately gives both teams a chance to make an early statement in the division. The guys break down the biggest matchups, what each team needs to do to win, and whether Washington can walk into Philadelphia and spoil the Eagles’ opener. Then it’s Cowboys-Giants under the lights in New York. Dallas and New York renew one of the division’s oldest rivalries, with both teams looking to establish what kind of season they’re about to have. Can the Giants start the year by knocking off Dallas, or will the Cowboys once again leave New York with an early divisional win? The episode closes with everyone making their picks for both games — and officially beginning another season of keeping receipts.
